Sales on the rise for Thomas cook, Thank you Redknapp!

Thomas Cook has now started to utilize the abilities of Celebs. Basically the same way that every other company in the world does, by advertising with them. In order to be a bit different Thomas Cook took a different avenue. A UK celebrity teaming up with a UK tour operator is a recipe for success. Jamie Redknapp is a very well known figure. Got to Dance is a show that is watched by many, and Louise is a judge on this. Both of these people are loved by the British public!

What is it in this advert that makes it oh so special. These two celebrities are easy for the public to relate too. They embark on a holiday with Thomas Cook and are seen relaxing on the beach, going for a meal, nothing to fancy. This can give some people the impression that, well, “if they can go there, maybe we can live like celebrities for a week or two as well”. I do however doubt very much that Mr and Mrs Redknapp do stay in these resorts on a regular basis, but never mind what do any of us know about the lifestyle of a celebrity.

Since they have been in the Nintendo Wii adverts they are loved by the whole public. I am happy for them, I think they have done well. Thomas Cook provide holidays from the UK across the world, and have been doing so for over 100 years. This also very successful business seems to have captured a perfect partnership with the Redknapp’s.

Let’s take a second though and look at it from the other side. We all know that Celebrities don’t stay in the same resorts as us common folk. In fact are Louise and Jamie not lying to us about where they are staying? There is a sneaky suspicion that this isn’t the holiday we will be enjoying.

Sharm El Sheikh Holidays are a favourite of the Celebrity demographic, showered in luxury hotels, however saying that Egypt holidays have been popular with the entire country. So is Thomas Cook wrong to be employing role models in their adverts, of course not, I have been on Hurghada holidays, what fun it was, no celebrities spotted though!

5 Important tips for comparing flights online

With air services expanding their operations to even less-known destinations around the world and offering tickets at affordable rates, many people prefer to travel by air. Keeping inline with the number of flights, travel agencies have also multiplied their presence online and lure travelers with competitive prices of airfare. Do you want to join the band of travelers who strike the best deals by booking their tickets online? Try to follow these tips when you fly again.

If you want to save a little money on your next flight, just exercise a little patience. Search the Internet, compare a few websites, and narrow your options down to two or three different possibilities. Next, get hold of a travel agent and speak to him or her about what you’ve found online and see if they can do better for you. Because they have access to many different carriers, they may be able to offer you some alternatives of which you were not aware at a much cheaper price.

When you are comparing various flights, don’t forget to check out the various options like that of the provision of the meals by the airline concerned. If you are cautious about food, then try to find out whether the costs of the meals are included in the air fare or not; before you actually buy your ticket. There may be certain other airlines, which may be offering, even meals as a package in the airfare itself.

If you can travel on the spur of the moment, or if you can travel when others don’t, you can save a significant amount of money. Instead of planning your trip with fixed dates, think about flexible dates, as airfare is generally thirty percent less expensive during the middle of the week instead of the weekends. Additionally, the late night red-eye flights are also discounted. So next time you’re on the go, check to see if you can’t find a less expensive flights.

Remember that direct flights are generally more expensive than those with stops, so make sure to search for both kinds of flights and to compare them. Also, don’t forget to check that you have enough time between flights to get to your connecting flight or you could risk missing your plane.

Do a comparison of the available ticket prices. Check out the terms and conditions too and note the taxes that are and are not included in the basic cost. It’s far better to take the extra trouble now than to end up being sorry down the road.

Before buying the ticket, inquire about the terms of the cancellation and the cancellation charges, in case you have to cancel the ticket because of some circumstances beyond your control. Just keep an eye on the off-season packages offered by some of the airlines and you might get a good bargain that way.

There is no expert’s rulebook for getting the best value in airfares over the Internet. All you really need is persistence, patience, and vigilance. Keep your attention focused on the ticket sites and when you feel sure that you have found the best buy, jump on it!
