Going To Birmingham, Here Are Things Which You Can Do?
Are you planning to goto Birmingham, England for a weekend? There are several things you can do there from nightlife to sight seeing. Birmingham is famous for being the second biggest city in England. It is also the industrial city of England. There are several things to do in this city from relaxing like relaxing in modern furniture of the bars located in a beautiful canal that runs through Broad Street. Broad Street probably has the best night life in Birmingham. There are also other places where you can enjoy a good nightlife such as Arcadian and Mailbox but Broad Street has few more bars than these two places.
Once you get to Birmingham don’t forget to visit the awesome chocolate factory. The factory is based in Bournville which is about 30 minutes away from town in car. Or you can also catch a train to Bournville from New Street Station in town. This will be a fun trip for everyone. You will be able to taste all types of chocolates and also see how it is made. This is one of the best tourist attractions in Birmingham.
Bull ring is another massive attraction of Birmingham. Once upon a time this was one of the biggest mall in Europe. The mall was designed as a bull’s shape hence the name. Women love shopping and this is the place to start off your day, then walk about 15 minutes to get to broad street and then end your evening there. The bull ring has shops like Selfridges, Debenhams, Top shop, River Island, FCUK, Next, Zara and many others. The interior decoration of the mall is very good and for seating it looks like they have arranged some club furniture to give it a funky look. In the middle there is a seating area which includes reception furniture as it is so comfortable and also is very classy.

A Brief Guide To Birmingham
Birmingham is the UK’s second biggest city, after the capital London. There is a great selection of attractions and things to do in Birmingham, as you would expect from the cultural center of the West Midlands. Without doubt, Birmingham is a city not to be missed if you are taking a touring vacation in the UK.
Here are just a handful of the attractions that Birmingham has to offer:
Birmingham Cathedral: Probably the cities most beautiful historic building. Built in 1725 the building boasts no less than four Pre-Raphaelite stained-glass windows.
The Royal Air Force Museum: The museum is home to a fantastic collection of aviation history. Over seventy aircraft housed in three separate wartime hangars. You’ll see Spitfires, Hurricanes, Vulcans and more. Highly recommended!
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery: There are a huge range of exhibits including Egyptian mummiesa and a fantastic toy collection. You’ll also get to see one of the largest collections of pre-Raphaelite paintings in the world.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens: Fifteen acres of beautiful gardens, great for exploring, along with four enormous glasshouses full of exotic plants.
And there are some fantastic places to spend an enjoyable day out with your family in Birmingham. Here are a few suggestions:
Second City Canal Cruises: This is great fun. I can strongly recommend a canal boat cruise which is what I did with my family last year.
The National Sea Life Centre: There are in excess of sixty rare maritime species on display in this National center.
Newbrook Farm Experience: This is the perfect place for animal lovers. You will see many rare and ancient breeds that can’t be found elsewhere.
Woodgate Valley Country Park: This outstanding country park is ideal for those who enjoy walking in the outdoors. There is a working farm that offers a play area and a pony trekking center which is ideal for children.
These are just a small selection of the places that Birmingham has to offer. I’ver personally visited all of these, and more, and all should be on your ‘must visit’ list when you go to Birmingham.

Culture

Birmingham is a shopper’s paradise. As I mentioned above it hosts one of the biggest malls in Europe. It’s not just the Bullring where you will be able to do your shopping. There are few other places like The Pallasades, Mailbox and Jewellery quarter. Jewellery quarter is UK’s jewellery heart as 40% of all jewellery comes from here – situated 5 minutes drive from the city centre.
Sports
Birmingham also hosts few of the top cricket and football clubs in England. Birmingham City football club, Aston Villa football club, West Bromwich football club are all part of English premiere league. Warwickshire cricket club is a well known cricket club in UK and is based near Selly Oak. It is also the 3rd biggest cricket ground in England and also a home for England Cricketer Ian Bell.
