Do You Like the Snow in Sussex, or Maybe Prefer a Safari in Kenya – You Choose

The first snow of winter 2009 has finally arrived!  Even down on the South Coast where we don’t usually get much snow, it has already started to settle.  The kids are all excited because it could mean school breaking up a few days early!  Mind you it’s not just the kids who enjoy the snow.  Even though I am nearing my mid 40’s, I still love the first snowfall of winter.

If only it had stayed away for a few more days, then we could have enjoyed a beautiful White Christmas.  Call me an old romantic, but I still get a tingle at the thought of pulling the curtains back on Christmas morning and seeing that during the night we have had a heavy snowfall and everything has that magical feeling about it.

Of course we all know that it will probably be pouring with rain and blowing a gale outside, so therefore totally miserable.  It’s not all bad though because at least I can get our coal fire going and settle down to a cosy afternoon watching the Christmas Soaps.

Oh the delights of Christmas, it can’t get much better than this, can it?

Well as a matter of fact it does.  I’ve already picked up quite a few travel brochures and I am going to be going through them to see where I can book my next holiday.

I have such a selection, Safari Holidays, Kenya Holidays, Florida Holidays, Las Vegas holidays, you name the destination, I probably have the brochure.

I really enjoy looking through brochures to see what kind of adventure I could be planning and what sort of hotel I could choose.  Some of the accommodation is so plush and if you choose you can book an all inclusive deal.  At the other end of the spectrum, you could choose to book something completely different and spend your nights in a tent gazing up at the beautiful clear sky.  From a personal point of view I enjoy my creature comforts a little too much, so much as the night sky may be stunning, I would prefer to be looking at my hotel ceiling.

Wherever I decide to head off to on holiday, I know I will have a great time and enjoy new experiences.
